America has always revered the small business that expanded to be nationally, and eventually globally successful. Capitalism at its best.

In 1980, there were 180 companies that controlled the majority of the global food market. Now there are 60. In the organic industry, eight of the top food conglomerates own the 38 largest organic businesses.

With agriculture, we can now buy anything, at any time of the year, from anywhere on the planet. Seasons and distance no longer limit us.
