Note: This radio program can still be heard in the Your Call Radio Archives.
Okay, it's not really a boxing match, but it will be an interesting and enlightening conversation between the Organic Consumers Association (OCA) and the Organic Trade Association (OTA).
Today on NPR's Your Call at 10am PST.
In case you've been in hiding, a lot's been happening with organic certification this past month. The OTA helped Congress insert a last-minute budget amendment that would allow some artificial ingredients in organic food, and the OCA is still working to preserve the integrity of the organic label.
Would relaxing organic standards improve food quality overall? Would weakening standards start a steady slide that would gut all meaning from the ideal of organic food? Hear from advocates for and against the changes. What do you want in your organic food? It's Your Call. Call in!
Tune your Bay Area radio to KALW 91.7 FM, or just stream it live.
